Mission
Our gallery mission is to share the work of outstanding emerging and established regional and international visual artists with the City of Wilson community. Eyes on Main Street gallery is able to support a variety of mediums including photography, painting, small sculptural works and mixed media. The curatorial team is open to receiving proposals concerning traditional methods of making and those that explore experimental forms of visual communication.
We support the work of established and emerging creatives. Groups are welcome to apply including alumni from regional art programs.
Duration of the Exhibition
The base format for each exhibition is 2 days install, 16 days exhibition* and 1-day deinstall; dates will be determined with the curatorial team. Extended duration of exhibitions maybe arranged if the gallery schedule permits. By prior arrangement, exhibits can be viewed outside of these days to accommodate your out of town guest visits at no additional charge.
Exhibition Fees
A gallery exhibit fee of $530 for a base format exhibition is required to be paid in advance upon signing of the contract by the artist/s. Incase the artist requires a shorter exhibition, the exhibit fee remains set at the base format exhibition rate of $500. Each prearranged additional week (maximum six weeks), will be charged at an additional fee of $125/per extra week. Our exhibit fee is low due to the generous support from many art enthusiasts. EOMS takes a 20% commission on gallery sales which goes directly back into helping support our initiatives.
